"I challenge you to make your life like a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk." -- Anthony Robbins
This quote is a personal challenge. There is nothing more I dislike than a hypocrite - so I need to be very careful about what I "teach". I have to be sure that I can live up to what I am teaching. If it is about being fair, then I need to be sure that I can exhibit the qualities of being fair, etc. This is not an easy challenge because it is often easier to just talk the talk.
I missed class tonight because of work responsibilities. I have been knee deep in trying to get the School Report Cards out before the end of the month when it must be posted on line. If any of you are teachers, make sure you have a chance to look over your school's grade. This task provided me with the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Excel program. I can now create graphs, format graphs, edit graphs, and transfer them from one document to another. I also know how to take 3,000 + employees and disaggregate the information into a variety of categories such as gender, ethnicity, age, job location, job position, and more. I know how to insert worksheets, row, columns and how to hide and unhide the same. Because I missed class, I also missed out on learning about Google Earth so right now I am in the dark. I will however, endeavor to learn about it this week. Perhaps I can make up for late work by using Google earth to show you the places I went to in Greece. (Image by Faye - White Ginger)
Faye,
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the photographer! I love the picture of the white ginger! It complements your inspirational quote! Indeed, we must all strive to live what we teach and walk our talk. It's not easy, but it's the only way to truly live a life that matters.
You are tasked with various responsibilities on top of all the requirements as a full-time graduate student. Keep up your organization, diligence, hard work, and collaboration, because they will certainly make a difference!
The Google Earth tool is certainly amazing. With a touch of a button you can travel the world! Yes, you'll have to utilize this tool to show all the places you've visited in Greece. We look forward to viewing this!
Best regards,
Dr. Rivera
I agree with you. As a mother, teacher, and wife, I find that everything I do needs to be planned. Think before acting-think before saying.
