Teaching of abstract skills are tough to teach learners with limited experience or exposure. Teachers need to find ways to bring the experiences into the classroom. Technology used the right way can make instruction more successful. We need to let go of our fears of getting out hands dirty and just jump right in.
Love the quote, my mother taught me how to cook, hands-on and I got my hands "plenty-dirty" peeling, slicing, chopping and mixing away! There was more action than talking!
