Aside from my dog crisis, I am working on finishing up my mid term reflection. So far, I think I am keeping up with all the assignments but I am a little bit concerned about the Language Arts Conference. I really want to be there but cancelling Greece is just not possible since I've already paid for everything in full. I need to know what I can do to help before I go in a couple of weeks. Whoever is coordinating the presentation, please let me know. (image by google images. but this is what Chica looks like.)
My quote for the day:
Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or the same way.
-- George Evans
This quote is as straight as it comes. I don't think we can add to this to make it better understood. We just need to remember it.
I am sorry to hear about your dog. I too am a dog lover, owning 7 chihuahua mixed canines of my own. I consider my pets part of my family and to see one of them suffer would hurt me greatly. I hope Chica recovers well.
ReplyDeleteAs for your quote, students learn in so many different ways and sometimes there are days where their motivation level is low, but then there are days that they absorb everything you teach. Like you say the quote is pretty straightforward and its best we remember it.
Gosh, sorry to hear about your dog. I hope she recovers quickly.
ReplyDeleteThis quote is so true. This school year is a challenge for me to teach with more visuals, hands on, or full physical response
Faye,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about the news regarding your dog Chica. I hope he heals soon. Take care, and keep up the great work in completing your assignments!
Best regards,
Dr. Rivera
I'm so sorry to hear about Chica. Hopefully he recovers soon.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the Lang. Arts Conference, I'm partnering up with Josephine and working on an RCampus presentation. We just have to both sit down and finalize what we both agree to be presented. So you might want to partner up with someone who has the same ideas as you want to present in the conference. Dr. Rivera is as well aware of my situation so just let her know.
Hi Faye,
ReplyDeleteI hope Chica fully recovers and everything turns out for the best!
As for your short quote: It speaks volumes to the current reading programs within GDOE! They should give the teaching power to the teachers and not to the program.
Get well soon Chica! I am sure everything will work it self out Faye, it always does.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for all your comments and concerns about Chica. She is home now and is trying really hard to stand on her hind legs but I can tell she is still in pain. Her vet, Dr. Joseph at Wise Owl prescribed some happy pain pills for her so she is able to do her business once I carry her highness to the grass. She has been a really good companion and I am blessed by how eager she is to see me come home.
ReplyDeleteWould anyone like to partner up with me as Cindy and Josephine are doing for the Language Arts Conference?
